Eli Lilly to Reduce Insulin Prices

Eli Lilly, one of three insulin manufacturers in the country, announced plans to reduce list prices of insulin by 70%. Humalog 100 units/mL will be reduced in price starting in Q4 of 2023. The price of nonbranded Insulin Lispro Injection 100 units/mL will be reduced to $25 a vial on May 1, 2023. Additionally, Rezvoglar (insulin glargine-aglr) injections will be available at $92 per five back of KwikPens®, effective April 1, 2023. Eli Lilly plans to cap out-of-pocket expenses to $35 for insured individuals, while those not insured can download a savings card to gain similar cost savings.
