For the eighth consecutive year, Healthesystems partnered with Risk & Insurance® magazine to conduct the annual Workers’ Comp Industry Insights Survey. While Healthesystems analyzes the survey data to create an in-depth report that will be released in early Q1 2025, Risk & Insurance published an article highlighting preliminary findings.
The survey was conducted at the 2025 National Comp conference in Nashville, Tennessee from November 11-12, and online through the end of November, collecting the opinions of 507 industry stakeholders, with the goal of understanding the trends, challenges, and priorities of the workers’ comp industry.
Nearly 60% of respondents identified workers’ comp litigation as a top concern, followed closely by poor worker health, comorbidities, and social determinants of health. The article explores the compounding challenge of worker health and recovery barriers, strategic priorities that point toward engagement and efficiency, and a shifting in technology investment as AI gains ground.
