Pennsylvania Proposes Cannabis Reimbursement Bill

Back to Regulatory Recap

Pennsylvania House Bill 1766 was introduced, which would require employers to reimburse qualifying injured workers up to $250 per month for medical cannabis.

According to the bill text, employers would be required to reimburse qualifying payments up to $250 per month for medical marijuana obtained for certified medical use. Insurers would be required to establish a system to reimburse qualifying patients.

Patients may also be considered eligible for the reimbursement of the fee to obtain and renew marijuana identification cards – typically a $50 fee.
