The Oregon Workers' Compensation Division (WCD) will hold a hybrid Rulemaking Advisory Committee meeting on November 5th to discuss potential updates to key regulations.

The meeting will cover annual fee schedule revisions for:

• OAR 436-009: Medical Fee and Payment Rules
• OAR 436-010: Medical Services
• OAR 436-015: Managed Care Organizations

The meeting will also review updated billing codes and the latest CPT versions, as well as discussions of “one-time” issues, such as:

• Should providers be allowed to employ certified interpreters and bill for those services?
• Can medical providers be required to respond within a specific timeframe to employers' return-to-work inquiries?
• Is a prescription from the attending physician required for hearing aids?
• Should a maximum payment amount for hearing aids be established?

Stakeholders may submit additional agenda topics using the Possible Rule Issue Form by September 27th. To attend, stakeholders must email marie.a.rogers@dcbs.oregon.gov. Meeting materials, including the agenda and connection details, will be available in October.
