Nevada CARDS Portal Down: State Issues Guidance Bulletin

Back to Regulatory Recap

The Nevada Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) announced that its Claims and Regulatory Data System (CARDS) is currently unavailable due to statewide network issues. CARDS is a portal for insurers, TPAs, attorneys, and clinical practitioners to manage claims, medical provider lists, compliance tasks, and submit complaints.

The Governor's Technology Office (GTO) is working to resolve the issue, but there is not an estimate on when the network will be fully restored. The DIR announced that due dates for submission of the Claims Expenditure and Premium Data (due 8/31/25) and the FY25 Claims Activity Report (due 9/1/25) in the CARDS web portal have been extended to one week after CARDS is restored. The DIR asks that stakeholders do not send these reports or data via email.

During this outage, the following guidance is in effect:

  • Claims indexing (Form D-38s) is on hold; no alternative submission method is available
  • Submit Permanent Partial Disability requests (Form D-35s) by email to medunit@dir.nv.gov
  • Send complaints and supporting documents to WCSHelp@dir.nv.gov. Supporting documentation may include medical bills, EOBs, photographs/reports/videos if fraud is alleged, relevant WCS forms, off-work slips/proof of timely submission or filing, copies of invoices/checks, and more

For outage updates, visit the Workers’ Compensation Section official website or call (702) 486-9080 or (775) 684-7270.
