Montana House Bill 805 was introduced, which would update workers’ comp regulation to prohibit “aliens that are unlawfully employed from being eligible for workers’ compensation.”

Additionally, the bill would allow insurers to deny any claim or close any claim in which the claimant has left the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, or American Samoa in the process of making a claim for workers’ compensation benefits, or while a claim for workers’ compensation benefits is ongoing.
