The Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) and the Department of Industrial Accidents (DIA) will host a virtual Listening Session via Zoom on October 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST to gather stakeholder input on current workers’ compensation medical payment rates and methodologies.

The EOHHS is seeking feedback to better understand how current rates affect:

• Workers’ compensation coverage
• Access to care
• Quality of care
• Injured workers’ overall experience

While no formal rule changes are proposed, input will help guide future policy decisions. Stakeholders unable to attend may submit written comments to ehs-regulations@mass.gov by October 17th.

Healthesystems remains committed to advocating for a simpler, more transparent reimbursement methodology that benefits all stakeholders, and will participate in the session to address concerns related to prescription drug reimbursement. In 2023, Healthesystems highlighted the complexity of using six different benchmarks, including two based on unpublished data; however, no rule amendments were made.
