Maryland House Bill 1210 was introduced, which would authorize licensed certified social workers to provide evaluation services for workers' comp claims related to permanent impairments involving a behavioral or mental disorder.
This bill would require a licensed certified social worker-clinical to comply with certain requirements to perform the evaluation services.
House Bill 1404 would authorize licensed certified social workers and licensed clinical professional counselors to register as rehabilitation practitioner. Such a licensed practitioner would not subject to certain supervision requirements. If passed, this law would go into effect October 1st, 2025.
