Last week, several leaders from Healthesystems attended and presented at the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions’ (IAIABC) 111th Annual Convention in Milwaukee, an event that brings together seasoned and emerging leaders from across the country to address the most pressing challenges facing the workers’ compensation industry.
The convention featured a robust schedule of committee meetings, workshops, and networking events, including sessions on claims modernization, medical issues, regulatory updates, and the future of AI in workers’ comp.
Our team contributed to discussions on innovative solutions, including a talk from Healthesystems’ Tony Brown, on Strategies for Balancing AI Innovation & Risks, which covered cybersecurity best practices and drew significant interest from the regulator and industry attendees.
There were also presentations appealing to the broad audience such as a keynote on Preventing Burnout, and a timely update on Medical Marijuana, ongoing risks, and regulatory developments which are impacting patient care and the payer community.
The IAIABC convenes leaders from over US and international workers’ compensation agencies, as well as members of the payer community. IAIABC fosters collaboration and knowledge-sharing that drives real progress on issues such as claims management, regulatory compliance, and technology adoption. The convention provides Healthesystems leaders a valuable opportunity to share our knowledge, learn from others and connect with regulatory leaders and other system stakeholders. We are able to help contribute to shaping the future of workers’ compensation through our involvement and attendance.
