Connecticut has advanced House Bill 6954, which would expand workers’ compensation eligibility for post-traumatic stress injuries (PTSI).

The bill adds a new qualifying event, allowing for coverage for workers who witness a serious physical injury that does not result in death or permanent disfigurement.

If enacted, this bill will take effect on October 1, 2025.
