Kansas Senate Bill 189 was introduced, which would provide injured employees the freedom of choice to designate their healthcare provider and require the employer to pay for the services of such healthcare provider with regard to workers’ comp.

If passed, the bill would eliminate language that allows a regulator to select another provider if the services delivered by the claimant-selected provider are not satisfactory.
