The Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC), announced it is seeking input from stakeholders to help shape the proposed 2025 Medical Quality Review Audit Plan.

This plan outlines priorities for the Medical Quality Review Panel (MQRP) audits for the upcoming year. In 2025, the DWC will audit the quality of designated doctor reports, focusing on documentation supporting additional testing or referrals recommended during these exams. The medical advisor may adjust the Audit Plan based on feedback received, with any proposed changes requiring approval from the commissioner of workers’ compensation. Stakeholders are invited to submit suggestions for the Audit Plan by emailing OMA@tdi.texas.gov by 5:00 PM CST on November 22, 2024.
