In the past month, two of Healthesystems’ clinical pharmacists have been in the spotlight for their achievements and expertise.
Jeanette Connelly, PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist, Senior, was installed as President of the Florida Pharmacy Association (FPA) at the FPA’s 133rd Annual Meeting & Convention.
The FPA is Florida’s largest and oldest statewide organization representing the profession of pharmacy in Florida. Her presidential responsibilities include setting the organization’s annual goals, appointing committee chairs and members, presiding over meetings at the annual convention, and representing the FPA at state and national pharmacy events, among many other duties.
Healthesystems is proud of Dr. Connelly for the passion and commitment she has displayed for the pharmacy community, and looks forward to seeing her lead the statewide organization for the next year.
In other news, Silvia Sacalis, BS, PharmD, VP, Clinical Services, was featured in a Comp Spotlight – a video interview series conducted by Business Insurance with workers’ comp and safety experts.
In the video interview, Dr. Sacalis discusses the workers compensation industry’s steady march away from opioid prescribing, while highlighting potential prescription drug trends of concern that warrant awareness and monitoring.
