Conference Cancellations Across the Country

With mass gatherings now either discouraged or outlawed by executive order of public health by state and federal governments, it is no surprise that various industry conferences have been postponed, canceled, or scheduled to be delivered via virtual conferencing to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of all events that have been officially canceled in the coming months:

  • The Rx Drug Abuse and Heroin Summit – Originally scheduled for 4/13-16
  • The California Self-Insurers Association’s (CSIA) Annual Meeting – Originally scheduled for 4/20-21
  • The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy’s Managed Care and Specialty Pharmacy Annual Meeting – Originally scheduled for 4/21 – 24
  • The Kids’ Chance Annual Conference – Originally scheduled for 4/23-25. Kids’ Chance announced they will provide webinar presentations throughout the year as a substitution
  • The International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) Forum – Originally scheduled for 4/26-4/30, IAIABC is looking into options to provide a virtual experience
  • The Risk Management Society’s (RIMS) 2020 Annual Conference & Exhibition – Originally scheduled for 5/3-6
  • The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine’s (ACOEM) American Occupational Health Conference (AOHC) – Originally scheduled for 5/3-6,
  • The Asembia Specialty Pharmacy Summit – Originally scheduled for 5/4-7, conference leaders may postpone this to a later date upon developing news
  • The Insurance Rehabilitation Synergy Group’s (IRSG) Annual Conference – Originally scheduled for 5/4-6, IRSG has rescheduled for September 28-30
  • The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs’ (NCPDP) Annual Conference – Originally scheduled for 5/4-6
  • The National Council on Compensation Insurance’s Annual Issues Symposium – Originally scheduled for 5/11-13, NCCI is offering virtual sessions
