The Nevada Division of Industrial Relations to the Department of Business and Industry, through the Workers’ Compensation Section, has provided a notice of a public workshop concerning Executive Order 2026-003, which requires every executive branch department in the state to solicit stakeholder recommendations regarding regulations that should be streamlined, clarified, or removed.
This workshop will take place Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The meeting will be held in person, via Microsoft Teams, and via telephone. Stakeholder attendance and commentary is highly encouraged. Members of the public are encouraged to submit written comments no later than September 23, 2026.
Agenda items include possible changes to NAC Chapter:
- 616A - Administration
- 616B – Provision of Coverage
- 616C – Benefits for Injury or Death
- 616D – Administrative Proceedings and Enforcement
- 617 – Occupational Diseases
After receiving comments from stakeholders and interested persons pursuant to the Executive
Order, Division staff will substantively review the regulations discussed and/or proposed for
streamlining, clarification, revision, or removal during the meeting and prepare a report for the
Division to discuss and potentially act upon at a future meeting where further public comment
will be possible.
