Back to Regulatory Recap
The Michigan Workers’ Disability Compensation Agency proposed updates to its Health Care Services rules and fee schedule. Among many proposed changes, this would limit physician-dispensed medication reimbursement to the first 42 days of care.
Additional changes proposed include:
- Adopting 2026 CPT/HCPCS codes and adding telemedicine codes
- Clarifying billing for radiology contrast
- Replacing modifier -GF with non-physician practitioner reimbursement language
A public hearing on these proposed changes is scheduled for July 24, 2026, at 1:30 PM, with written comments due on the same day via mail or email (LEO-WDCA Attention to: Carrie Ross PO Box 30016 Lansing, MI 48909 or WCINFO@michigan.gov).
The rules will take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State.
