On January 14th, the Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) Three-Member Panel will meet to approve policy recommendations to the Legislature by January 15th.

The 2025 draft Biennial Report includes one recommendation to remove legislative ratification for Hospital and Ambulatory Surgical Center Reimbursement Manuals. Currently, Florida law requires legislative approval for these fee schedules before they take effect. This change would allow the DWC to update fee schedules annually without legislative approval.

The meeting will also cover the DWC’s report on the Resolution of Medical Reimbursement Disputes, summarizing fiscal year 2023-2024 activities.
