The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has proposed the Fiscal Year 2026 Research Agenda for the Workers’ Compensation Research and Evaluation Group (REG), as required under Texas Labor Code Section 405.0026.

Stakeholders may submit written comments regarding the proposed research agenda to RuleComments@tdi.texas.gov by September 15.

The agenda proposes the following research topics:

• Completion and publication of the 18th Edition of the Workers’ Compensation Health Care Network Report Card
• An update of medical costs and utilization in the Texas workers’ compensation system
• An update on return-to-work outcomes for injured employees

The proposed agenda will appear in the August 15th edition of the Texas Register and will be posted on the TDI website.
