Colorado Senate Bill 184 has passed both chambers and now sits with Governor Polis, which could expand cancer coverage for firefighters if signed into law.
The current cancer presumption covers only cancers of the brain, skin, digestive system, hematological system, or the genitourinary system. The bill would expand that list to include:
- Mesothelioma
- Bladder Cancer
- Colon Cancer
- Prostate Cancer
- Testicular Cancer
- Melanoma of the skin
- Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma
- Lung Cancer
- Kidney Cancer
- Leukemia
- Multiple Myeloma
- Esophageal Cancer
- Brain Cancer
- Digestive Cancer
- Genitourinary Cancer
- Skin Cancer
- Thyroid Cancer
- Breast Cancer
- Reproductive Cancer
