On March 11th, Healthesystems attended the Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council (WCAC) meeting, where the council announced that draft fee schedule regulations are in development, with a public comment expected in fall 2026 and possible implementation in July 2027.

WCAC reported that the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is analyzing medical reimbursement rates with support from an external consulting firm and is developing draft regulations.

This update follows WCAC’s January letters urging regulatory review of the medical fee schedule and impartial exam fees. While the WCAC can recommend reviews, regulatory action rests with EOHHS.
