Back to Regulatory Recap
Washington House Bill 2243 was introduced, which would expand the definition of attending providers to include physical therapists and occupational therapists, allowing these providers to direct care for workers’ comp patients.
Currently, this status is limited to licensed physicians, chiropractic practitioners, dentists, nurse practitioners, osteopathic practitioners, naturopathic practitioners, podiatrists, optometrists, and in the case of mental health conditions, psychologists and physicians assistants.
